Web Development
I started developing websites in 1994, both the front-end
and the back-end. I developed small to medium sites for small businesses, and eventually was employed by Sun Microsystems to work on their java.sun.com site. Now, I am a technical writer for Sun, a community manager for three of Sun's hub sites, and continue web development on the side.
Responsiblities
- Gather requirements from client(s)
- Create wireframes based on requirements
- Web design features
- Set up server directiories and programs
- Implement UI code, as well as backend applications
